Because it is administered through drinking water, it provides fast, convenient and potent results, with proven safety for poultry.When combined with proper biosecurity measures, Exzolt combats mite resistance and helps achieve long term treatment of mite populations in poultry houses.
Add one dose (0.05ml per kg) of Exzolt® to 1-2ml of water. You can then either syringe it (carefully) into their mouth or apply this Exzolt mixture to a small piece of bread and feed the bread to the bird. Don’t ‘drench’ it as you would for other livestock, as it’s easy to force it into the lungs accidentally.

Hopefully this will be a relief for my hens . It's only 4 days post drench but already, the bald patches stricken by mites appear unirrtated now. Adding the correct dosage to a tiny piece of bread for each hen (individually) to eat worked a treat. Here's hoping!!

Exolt has proven to be effective in controlling poultry red mite. Used in conjunction with spraying Smite liquid through the henhouse after clearing out litter etc, and a good application of DTE, the flock enjoys being mite free.

Struggled with mites for weeks despite DE, smite mite and regularly cleaning of the coop and full changes of the bedding. Within the first week of dosing the girls with this they were much brighter and not a single mite seen in the coup.
So far I'm impressed. We've had modest but manageable challenges with red mites in our wooden chook house & small flock (6 hens and one rooster @ present) for several years. Tried Smite, avermectin pour on, Ripcord etc, which did reduce the number of mites, but there was always still a few which survived the purges. Last week, I added 1.1ml to a litre of fresh water - enough to ensure each hen had a decent drink. After 4 days, there were still a lot of living mites in the usual spots on the coop. But, I'd seen youtube vids where 5 days was the key. Indeed, on day 5 and 6 - suddenly there were no live mites visible. Wow. Today, I've just given the flock its day 7 follow-up dose. I'd been looking for a product which was easy (dosing in drinking water) and effective. Although costly, the 50ml bottle will last for ages, and I'm going to share it with family members with small flocks.
I use this in conjunction with several different types of mite control. An essential part of the tool kit.
