Vetario T50M Intensive Care Unit
Vetario T50M Intensive Care Unit (230v NZ plug)
A full featured, professional grade veterinary intensive care unit which combines temperature control, humidity management, drug nebulisation and oxygen therapy.
Suitable for rodents, birds, kittens and small puppies etc. Examples of use include animals needing emergency oxygen therapy, a warm and safe recovery unit for sick/injured animals, a quiet and warm environment for neonates and patients during perioperative care and patients needing nebulization for respiratory conditions.
With an effective volume of 40 litres, it can accommodate a rabbit, hedgehog, kitten or small puppy for example. Vetario intensive care units are ideally suited to veterinary practices where quick set-up and ease of cleaning are key benefits.
Oxygen usage brings risks of fire; our M models are tested for safety by BSI, so users can be confident that temperature control can be safely used with oxygen therapy.

Oxygen Compatibility: The Vetario T50M is fitted with an oxygen connector and can be safely operated with increased oxygen concentrations to aid recovery. The elevated oxygen levels which can be so beneficial to patients’ therapy also introduces the hazard of much easier combustion. This means that the higher oxygen levels in an intensive care unit can lead to fire much more readily than in normal atmospheres. The Vetario T40M and T50M have been designed to control these risks and for additional reassurance they have been independently tested by BSI for product safety to the Animal and Medical Incubator standards.
Warm air can result in dehydration so the Vetario T50M has a water reservoir over which air is circulated to increase humidity within the chamber. The water reservoir is filled from outside the unit and is clear, allowing the user to monitor the water level. The M model also features a digital humidity display to enable the user to monitor humidity more effectively; an adjustable vent is fitted to the door which may be opened or closed to give greater control of humidity and fresh air flow.
With accurate and calibrated digital temperature control, the Vetario T50M gives the user precise and accurate temperature control that can be adjusted at the push of a button. The digital control system shows temperature in either °C or °F and includes dual adjustable alarms to warn of variations of temperature inside and outside the cabinet beyond user-set thresholds. Simply alter the temperature in 0.1°C increments by using the digital controls to adjust between room temperature and 36°C. The digital controller guards against accidental temperature adjustment.
Airflow in the Vetario T50M has been carefully optimised to ensure consistent distribution of heat, so that it maintains the same temperature but with the fan maintaining gentle air speeds with positive pressure so that down, fluff and dust are not blown around. A twin stage air filter ensures that harmful bacteria and fungal spores are removed from the chamber.
Observation of patients is aided by a switchable internal light which safely illuminates the chamber interior.
With hygiene a top priority, the Vetario T50M has been carefully designed to make cleaning as easy as possible. The smooth, easy-to-clean interior has no vulnerable edges for claws or beaks to damage. The whole unit can be easily disassembled for easy and effective cleaning. To reduce the risk of infection Polygiene Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection is embedded within the incubator cabinet plastic during manufacture which prevents the growth of harmful bacteria.
Nebuliser ampule and connector tubing supplied as standard.

Protected by Polygiene Biomaster antimicrobial additives:
Hygiene in intensive care units is of vital importance, to reduce risk of infection and contamination all Vetario intensive care units incorporate Polygiene Biomaster Antimicrobial Protection into the cabinets during manufacture. Polygiene Biomaster Protection is embedded within the plastic itself* which prevents the growth of harmful bacteria helping to provide the optimum environment for a speedy recovery. Proven to quickly reduce bacterial growth by up to 99.99% Polygiene Biomaster Protection is an effective means of reducing the risk of cross infection from MRSA, E.coli, Campylobacter, Legionella, Salmonella and many other harmful species of bacteria. Each Vetario is fitted with a water reservoir which humidifies air as it is drawn into the heater enclosure. Use a solution of Brinsea Disinfectant (1 part concentrate to 100 parts water) in the water reservoir (pan) to inhibit bacterial build-up. It is recommended that the reservoir is topped up with solution daily to reduce dehydration. The evaporating block and filters can be carefully washed by hand but they do need changing regularly.
